  • In accordance with ACSLPA’s bylaws (9.16.2), Council appointed Joanne Richer Fodchuk, R.SLP to fill the Council position vacated by Andrea Benoit when she resigned on September 7th. Joanne is a past President of Council whose most recent term with council ended in December 2020.
  • Nicole Baumback was elected to the position of Council President and Claire Silvera to the position of Vice-President for 2022 by acclamation.
  • The 2022 ACSLPA Business Plan and Budget was approved. This document will be posted to the website soon.
  • The Pediatric Amplification Protocol was approved and adopted. The protocol will be posted to the website soon and sent out to Audiologists in a separate mail.
  • ACSLPA’s new Vaccination Policy was presented to Council. This Occupational Health and Safety policy requires all ACSLPA staff to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by January 1st unless they are unable to be vaccinated due to reasons protected by the Alberta Human Rights Act. The policy also applies to volunteers, service providers and visitors attending the ACSLPA offices or an ACSLPA event for more than 15 minutes, but non-staff have the option of a negative Covid-19 test result (test criteria consistent with Alberta’s Restrictions Exemption Program). All reasonable efforts will be made to offer virtual options for volunteers’ participation in meetings. If you have any questions about this new ACSLPA policy, please call the office for more information.
