Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Advisory (ARADA) Committee

ACSLPA is pleased to make available our new guideline: Anti-Racist Service Provision for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. This guideline outlines why an anti-racism perspective is needed in SLP and Audiology as well as some key considerations for regulated members on engendering anti-racism in practice.

If you have any questions, please email Sharia Ali, SLP Practice Advisor, at slp@acslpa.ca.
Up for the challenge
The Challenge: Move the Hearing Screening Guideline to the next level.

The Plan: Pull together at least 2 audiologists and 2 SLPs to brainstorm, share ideas,
and make it happen!

What to expect in the discussions:
  • the use of computer-based audiometry; and
  • apps for adult hearing screening.
Inclusion of these tools would decrease expenses and unnecessary appointments. If this sounds like a project you would like to have an impact on, click the button below to view more information AND sign up!
