Professional Liability Insurance
(PLI) Review

Regulated members with a practice permit are required to hold their own PLI policy which has, at minimum: $2,000,000.00 coverage per occurrence and an extended discovery and reporting period of two years.

In the coming months, ACSLPA will be reviewing regulated members' PLI information to ensure the above requirements are met. If you are contacted by our staff, please know this is a process we are undergoing to ensure that all regulated members have appropriate insurance.   • The first webinar of 2023 has been scheduled for Thursday, February 23 @ noon! The results from the CCP survey are in and we are going to let you know what we learned from your feedback! Visit the 'Upcoming PD' webpage for more information and watch your email in early February for the link to register.
  • Council recently approved revised Criteria for Use of Title Doctor or Dr. by SLP's which includes a new, third criteria. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Rafaat at deputyregistrar@acslpa.ca.
  • Council also approved and adopted a revised Standard of Practice on Restricted Activities. Opportunities to learn more about this revised standard will be shared soon.
