Expression of Interest Form

ACSLPA is looking to update its guideline on assessing English Language Learners and we need your input. We need SLP and Audiology regulated members of ACSLPA who have experience working with multilingual populations for a Guideline Review Ad-Hoc Committee.

The purpose of the committee is to:

• Review and update the College’s existing guideline to include the most current, evidence-based practice guidance for:
• Speech and language assessment of multilingual pediatric and adult clients,
• Accented and dialectal speech and language considerations during assessment, and
• Audiological assessment of multilingual clients.
• Incorporate the guidance and recommendations from the College’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee to ensure the updated guideline is consistent with current equity, diversity, and inclusion scholarship and best practice, including updating terminology in the guideline, as required
