Please Note: Speech-language pathologists or audiologists from outside of Alberta, and not registered with ACSLPA, conducting a speech-language pathology or audiology training course or clinical presentation in Alberta must be registered with ACSLPA with Courtesy Registration before providing professional services. Available all weeks in July 2020 as well as August 10-14 and August 17-21

Our virtual speech camp is designed to provide group members with the opportunity to engage with peers virtually. Campers will participate in individual and group sessions to facilitate speech and language skills, pre literacy/literacy skills and social skills. This camp provides children with a unique opportunity to practice speech and language targets with peers virtually. Group sessions and individual sessions are run by Speech Language Assistants and Speech Language Pathologists with extensive experience.

Campers must have access to a computer or tablet with internet access. Families will be provided with access to a secure online therapy room via a link sent over email. You will be asked to use your own computer or device to interact with your therapist. Parents/guardians will be asked to remain with their child for the duration of each session. Campers must be able to attend to for a minimum of 30 minutes two times per day. Fun and engaging activities will be conducted virtually with opportunities for movement around your home. 

Time:

  • Group lesson from 9:30am – 10:15am
  • Individual Speech Language Session: To be scheduled
  • Individual Therapy sessions offered between 10:30 am and 4:00 pm
  • Participants will be asked to schedule a 30 minute daily individual virtual therapy session with the therapist at a time that works for both the SLP and the family.
