Available all weeks in July 2020 as well as August 10-14 and August 17-21 Our virtual speech camp is designed to provide group members with the opportunity to engage with peers virtually. Campers will participate in individual and group sessions to facilitate speech and language skills, pre literacy/literacy skills and social skills. This camp provides children with a unique opportunity to practice speech and language targets with peers virtually. Campers will have the opportunity to practice skills with similarly aged peers. Children with the following diagnosis may attend: CAS, mild, moderate or severe phonological disorder, dysarthria, suspected CAS, motor speech disorder unspecified.

Each camper will participate in both small and large group activities designed to improve communication, attention, social interaction, fine and gross motor skills. Campers will have the opportunity to practice skills with similar-aged peers. Social communication and literacy skills will be practiced within groups. Campers must be able to say a minimum of 20 words, follow simple routine directions and be able to sit and attend to a story for approximately 5 minutes. Children who are not toilet trained or are non-verbal may attend camp with an assistant.

Hundreds of students and practising clinicians have learned this evidence-based approach in the past 30 years through participating in clinical traineeships at ISTAR.
