ACSLPA Jurisprudence eCourse
As self-regulated healthcare professionals, it is essential that registered speech-language pathologists and audiologists in Alberta are thoroughly familiar with, and practice in compliance with the regulatory requirements relevant to their daily practice.
The Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA) has developed this Jurisprudence Course to assist regulated members gain knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation, regulation, ethical/practice standards and requirements of a regulated health professional in Alberta. Completion of the course will also help prepare participants to complete a multiple choice examination. Successful completion of the jurisprudence examination is a requirement for registration with ACSLPA.
This Jurisprudence course consists of five modules. Each module includes a variety of learning activities to meet different learning styles. You may choose to view the narrated video presentations, listen to the podcasts, or read the eBooks or downloadable written materials. Learning will also be enhanced through completion of module quizzes and interactive learning activities. Please note that you are also required to be aware of the contents of key documents referred to in the modules. These include the ACSLPA Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics.
