  • If you are approved for registration, you will need to complete ACSLPA’s Jurisprudence E-Course and test. More information will be provided by email about how to complete the test.

  • Variable, but after ACSLPA receives all the above information, the typical processing time until the first registration decision is 20-80 business days.
  • Exact time to become fully registered varies on a case-by-case basis, if you have a strict time requirement, please contact ACSLPA to discuss.

[1] An interim registration decision is not the same as provisional registration as defined in other jurisdictions. Receiving an interim registration decision does not necessarily mean an applicant is permitted to practice in Alberta.

An interim registration decision will let an applicant know: 1) What other requirement(s) they will need to meet prior to a final registration decision being provided; and 2) Which ACSLPA requirement(s) they have already provided adequate evidence of meeting.
