Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
(College)
The Regulated Member and the College entered into a Disciplinary Complaint Resolution Agreement in November 2025.
The Regulated Member agreed that he engaged in unprofessional conduct while practicing as an audiologist, in that, he did not provide the requisite standard of client-centered services during a hearing assessment of a child relating to the manner of communication with the child and their parent, including clarity in the method by which he canvassed informed consent.
The conduct admitted to in the DCRA arises from one complaint. The Regulated Member agreed to complete coursework on communication and write a self-reflection paper on client-centered services, communication and informed consent.
