If your SLP or audiologist is found guilty of sexual abuse or sexual misconduct by a ACSLPA Hearing Tribunal, ACSLPA may seek to recover the costs of your therapy from them. In this case, they will become aware that you have accessed this Program.

You and your therapist or counsellor must keep all information obtained in setting up the funding confidential. Being eligible for funding does not automatically mean the speech-language pathologist or audiologist is guilty of professional misconduct.

Yes. Funding must be used within a five-year period, or up to a maximum amount of $22,500, whichever comes first. The five-year period begins on the day you become eligible for funding.
