Under the Health Professions Act (HPA), the business and affairs of ACSLPA are governed by a Council. Council actions and decisions are made in accordance with the HPA and guided by the ACSLPA Vision, Mission & Values, in support of the strategic plan.

Council consists of 12 members, 6 elected registered members of ACSLPA and six public representatives appointed by the Lieutenant Governor on advice from the Minister of Health.

ACSLPA Council has set the following 2021 meeting dates. Meetings are held virtually or in-person in Edmonton. ACSLPA members are invited to attend any Council meetings as an observer but must pre-register with the ACSLPA office.
