If your renewal is not complete and fees paid in full before the deadline, your practice permit will be suspended. To resume practicing in 2026, you will need to pay your fees plus a $250 application fee.

Split Payments:
You can choose to split your payment over several weeks or between credit cards. Choose the ‘Split’ button when you are ready to pay.
Your renewal is not complete until fees are paid in full.
Did you sign up for Pre-authorized Debit (PAD)?
If you signed up for PAD before January 15, 2025, your 2026 fees will be paid in full but you still need to complete all of the steps for renewal before it is complete!
If you signed up after January 15, you will need to pay the reminder of your 2026 fees once you have completed all of the steps for renewal. When you get to the payment page, your amount owing will need to be paid before your renewal is complete.
You may choose to sign up now or later for ACSLPA’s PAD plan. If you sign up by January 9, 2026, you will pay your 2027 registration and practice permit fees monthly between January and October 2026, and you will not need to pay in November and December 2026 during the holiday season.

ACSLPA registration fees may be tax-deductible as professional fees if they have been paid personally by you and not been reimbursed by your employer. Check with your employer as to your eligibility for employer coverage of registration fees and how it might affect your income tax as a taxable benefit.
Receipt and Practice Permit
After ACSLPA has processed your registration, you can print your receipt and practice permit (if applicable) online. Past income tax receipts are available in the system. Under Section 36(5) of the Health Professions Act, a regulated member must make their practice permit available for inspection upon request.
In addition to your printable practice permit, registration can be confirmed in the ACSLPA Public Register.
Leaving the Profession
Registrants who do not intend to renew are asked to login to MyACSLPA and choose the Not Registered Renewal Type. Once completed, ACSLPA will no longer send you renewal reminders.
If you are retiring, you may be eligible for the Retired/Honourary membership; for further information, visit the Fee Schedule, then contact the ACSLPA office.
Office Holiday Hours
The ACSLPA office will be closed December 25 through to January 5. Registration staff will be monitoring emails but response times will be longer. Please plan to contact the ACSLPA office if you have any questions regarding your registration renewal on or before December 24. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, weekdays.
Your 2025 Practice Permit Expires December 31, 2025
It is illegal and an offence under the Health Professions Act to work or volunteer in your profession in 2026 until you have a practice permit and can verify your registration status on the ACSLPA website (see Verify Registration). Working without a valid practice permit constitutes unprofessional conduct and may subject an individual to disciplinary action, fine or injunction.
